Yellow Cake with vanilla frosting. I tried the recipe from this months Cooks Illustrated. It's my second try with it. The first time I used some fancy ass flower pans and the cake wouldn't come out. This time I used my round cake pan and Wilton's Cake Release and it came out prefect. I'm a good baker, but a horrible decorator. Maybe i should take a class.

I made beer bread. I love making beer bread it's soooo easy! I used Guiness, fresh rosemary, olive oil, and sea salt. It's even vegan :)

I also made cilantro pecan pesto and white bean dip for dinner and lunches this week. I've gotten on a kick of cooking a lb of beans in the crock pot on Saturdays and using them throughout the week. This week was canelli beans.
I need to get my short run in, since I didn't swim today. I really wanna take the day off. I really wanna wear my bikini in Portugal, too. The cake is going to work with me tomorrow. I'm bribing the master gardeners :)
